Define the term ‘euthanasia’? Is it justifiable to use a passive method of suicide

Euthanasia is "mercy killing". More formally, it is the killing of those who are incurably ill and in great pain or distress, where the killing is done for the sake of those killed, and in order to spare them further suffering or distress. Many people see euthanasia as a compassionate act that ends the suffering of a dying person. However performing euthanasia with a good motivation is not sufficient because we need to help others with wisdom as well as compassion. If the person will have more peace and happiness in next lifeour action is good. However in the case of someone who is going to stay in a comma for many years and will spend thosusands and millions of money so the family will decided to to the passive methods of suicde. This motivation distinguishes euthanasia from most other forms of taking life. In my own point of view it is justifiable to use the passive method of suicide for the sake of the patient who suffers because in passive euthanasia you do not directly take their life but you permit them to die. You don't intend this, although you may foresee it. Finally, the death of the patient cannot be directly intended or caused, but only permitted.
